In addition to standard construction activity our company also deals with special construction activities such as the construction of linear accelerators and military simulators. We occupy a dominant position on the Slovak construction market in these very demanding and specific areas. Linear accelerators are usually used in research and developmental scientific activities or in commercial, medical, electrical, engineering applications.
In the activity of a linear accelerator there can arise extremely high levels of ionizing radiation from accelerated electrons or ions and braking gamma radiation after the capturing of electrons, ions in the material or shielding, also the production of harmful gases, mostly ozone. In view of these hazardous substances and radiation it is necessary to protect the space in the nearby of accelerator´s dark cell through the special construction technology like the concreting technology for super heavy concrete using concrete with a density of 5682 kg/m3.
